About the Event

Join WCU's Offce of Leagal Counsel and Institutional Integrity, College of Business, and AAUW WCU for a 50th Anniversary Celebration of Title IX.  This celebration is two events in one, a viewing of the documentary A Hero for Daisy and a panel discussion with WCU greats!  

Documentary Showing

Come watch A Hero for Daisy, a documentary on two-time rowing Olympian, Chris Ernst, who stormed the Yale athletic director's office in 1976 to protest the inadequate women's athletics facilities.

Title IX Panel

Come here from paneltists Nora Lynn Finch, Sue Persons, Judy Stroud, and Fred Cantler as they discuss the impact of Title IX on WCU athletics and the cretion of women's athletics at WCU. This panel discussion will be moderated by WCU's long-time sports information director, Steve White.
