Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Mental Health Awareness Panel on Wednesday, September 7, 2022. Panelists, Dr. Kia Asberg and Dr. Jay Manalo were very engaging and informative.
Dr. Asberg suggested some additional reading for those interested in the impact of the pandemic on various aspects of our lives. Those articles can be found at the following links:
Additionally, if you or someone you know is experiencing challenges with mental health do not hesitate to reach out for help!
Suicide Prevention Hotline: 988
Mental Health Crisis Hotline: 741741
WCU Counseling and Psychological Services: 828.227.7469
WCU ComPsych: 855.259.0382

It's a very useful panel to view! It really gave me an insight into the number of people out there who are silently suffering and require actual assistance. When mental health medical billing is confusing, it can be a challenge getting through to care. This sort of thing helps so much. Thanks for sharing something so valuable with the community!
